The compressor and condenser (condenser) form the outdoor unit, the expansion valve (evaporator) and the evaporator (evaporator) form the indoor unit. Air passing through the indoor unit leaves the heat from the vapor to the gas passing through the evaporator, reducing the moisture and heat of the air.
